So, with that in mind, I'm writing this to remind myself and anyone else who needs a Holiday party manners brush-up!
Consider the event, who's having it, and where it is. If the invite reads "Casual" then don't bust out your black, strapless evening gown, no matter how great you look in it, or how much you want to wear it!
One time my husband and I were ready for what we thought was a neighbor's Christmas business/casual party when another neighbor called to tell us they had seen the waiters arrive in black-tie dress. Back upstairs we went to get dressed all over again.
If you are dressed inappropriately you'll feel uncomfortable the entire time. So will your hosts.
Once, we had a party and shortly into it someone just layed down on the floor (face-down) and went to sleep. In the middle of the living room floor! Everyone had to be careful not to step on her all evening.
What would you have included?
