Apparently, I'm a hoarder! I didn't think there was a problem until this past week when I moved my store and provided temporary housing to all "my girls".
Technically they are all for sale, but truthfully, I hide the price tags and am vague and cagey about prices when someone asks (I KNOW!).
Here's the first girl I bought. "Teensy" is the smallest girl I have and only wears the tiniest of dresses.
We have taken her to every single show we've done. She gets strapped into a seat with a seatbelt (I won't say how my husband carries her out to the truck). Her job is to display jewelry and scarves. She rode out the storm with us in Massachusetts when Hurricane Irene hit the the Brimfield show.
Not for sale. Ever.
The next two girls I got at the Hartville Flea market (not the pretty one in the blue shirt).
One time a friend was visiting my home for the first time; she said she knew which house was mine when she saw a mannequin in the bedroom window.
I have screamed.
I really am going to sell more. I figure I only need two at the store and one for shows. So, next time you're in, check the price tag. It will be visible. I promise.
Am I the only one that ends up with accidental collections? Anyone else willing to share what they hoard? Please share! I can't be the only one.
